Job Overview:
We are seeking a Strategy & Operations Contractor to support the growth of a subscription-based membership business.
This role will focus on improving customer acquisition, engagement, and retention by identifying business opportunities, analyzing data, developing strategic recommendations, and executing initiatives that drive measurable results.
The ideal candidate is analytical, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
They should be able to translate complex business problems into actionable strategies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring solutions to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Problem Solving: Identify customer challenges, investigate root causes, and develop data-driven strategies to improve membership adoption and retention.
Data Analysis: Use SQL, AI tools, and other analytical methods to extract insights, evaluate business performance, and identify growth opportunities.
Financial Modelling: Build and maintain financial models using Excel or Google Sheets to estimate business impact, evaluate opportunities, and support decision-making.
Business Case Development: Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations, opportunity assessments, and actionable implementation plans.
Experimentation & Execution: Design, coordinate, and evaluate experiments, initiatives, and launches to improve customer experience and business outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Finance, and Marketing teams to align priorities and drive projects forward.
Performance Measurement: Track results, evaluate initiative effectiveness, and recommend improvements based on data and customer feedback.
AI & Process Optimization: Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, support query development, and automate repetitive tasks.
Required Qualifications:
2–3 years of experience in management consulting, strategy and operations, business analytics, or a similar analytical role.
Strong SQL skills and the ability to independently extract and analyse data.
Experience with financial modelling and data analysis using Excel or Google Sheets.
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and business case development skills.
Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and develop structured solutions to complex problems.
Experience translating data and analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
A customer-focused mindset with an interest in improving customer experience, engagement, and retention.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with experiment design, testing, and performance measurement.
Familiarity with AI tools for analytical workflows and process automation.
Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
Ability to communicate complex analytical findings in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
