Job Title: User Experience Designer IV
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
Duration: 3 months (with a chance of extension)
Hours: Full-time, M–F, 40 hrs/week (9–5 or 8–5 with 1-hour lunch)
About the Role
The Books Studio at Clients is seeking a Senior UX Designer to help define, evolve, and maintain the Books Design System. You’ll collaborate with other system designers and engineers to build scalable, high-quality components used across Client’s Books shopping and reading experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the design system for client Books products
- Build reusable and configurable design components in Figma
- Produce polished, detailed design assets and specifications
- Document usage guidelines and support scalability across screen sizes and markets
- Collaborate with UX designers and PMs to align system design with business goals
About the Team
Client Books Studio is a global UX organization (75+ people) supporting e-readers, mobile apps, author/publisher tools, and book shopping. The team is mission-driven to make it easy and delightful to read more and get more out of reading.
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of experience building design systems in Figma
- A stellar portfolio showcasing work on design systems (not illustrations or graphic design)
- Experience designing software products in a tech company environment
- Strong attention to detail and design polish
- Comfortable with componentization, documentation, and production work
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (designers, PMs, engineers)
Top 3 Required Skills
- Figma – expert level, 5+ years
- Interaction Design
- UX design experience for software products (preferably in tech companies)
