Position: Senior Commercial Manager 

Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid - 3-4 days onsite per week)

Duration: 12 Months (Possibility of Extension)

 

Job Description:

  •  The Client's Global Channel Development is a high-performing global business unit focused on amplifying the client brand beyond the coffeehouse. Operating across At-Home Coffee and Ready-to-Drink categories in 80+ markets, we are expanding our digital footprint through a new ecommerce proposition.

  • As?Senior Commercial Manager, you will lead the commercial strategy and performance analytics for company’s emerging ecommerce platform. You will be accountable for driving?sales, transactions, and profitability, leveraging deep analytical insights to inform pricing, promotions, assortment, and consumer engagement strategies. This role requires a strong commercial mindset, fluency in ecommerce analytics, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners.
 

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Own the ecommerce commercial model, including forecasting, margin optimization, and profitability tracking.
  • Drive ecommerce ROI, through strategic investments and performance optimization.
  • Analyze and report on ecommerce KPIs, including traffic, conversion, AOV, retention, transaction growth and the Rewards membership growth.
  • Lead pricing and promotional strategy, using data-driven insights to optimize performance across product categories, including the coffee subscription experience
  • Drive performance analytics for pilot programs, informing demand planning, replenishment, and fulfillment strategies.
  • Develop and refine the coffee subscription model, including pricing, bundling, and retention metrics.
  • Manage integration of the 3rd party FMCG models with the client's ecommerce, ensuring commercial alignment and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Tax, and Accounting?to ensure accurate reporting and financial governance.
  • Partner with digital, technology, product and operations teams?to enhance site experience and conversion.
  • Monitor and respond to retail, ecommerce, and consumer trends, translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Champion the brand, ensuring commercial decisions align with brand values and consumer expectations.


Technology requirements:
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ecommerce Platforms- Specifically Shopify


Degree or certifications required:
Not required, but nice to have

Years experience:
7+ years in commercial management, ecommerce, or digital retail
 
Required background & Skills:
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication (written and verbal)
  • Proven experience in?data analytics, financial modeling, and forecasting
  • Strong understanding of?ecommerce platforms, including Shopify, consumer behavior by segment, and digital marketing
  • Experience managing?cross-functional teams and external partnerships
  • Experience with online subscriptions & pricing
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly analytical, results-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity


Nice-to-Haves:
Experience in global or multi-market environments preferred.
