Program Manager
San Ramon, CA (Hybrid once a week)

**LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY** will need to be able to travel to our local bay area office locations.

The role is Hybrid - 20% will be once a week reporting but not limited to Dublin innovation or Bay Area office.

** Interview Readiness** Please only submit candidates that are avaliable for interviews in-person within 2 weeks from when application is submitted. All interviews will be in-person no exceptions.

**EQUIPMENT**  Due to current lead times and backlog, contractor will need to furnish equipment for Citrix access. Client Laptop will be provided approximately 4-8 weeks from start date. PPE will on as needed basis and will be reimbursed through expense process with prior Manager approval**

Mileage: **WITH PRIOR MANAGER APPROVAL, CW may expense mileage reimbursement when traveling to any other location that is not their Primary Business Location and if travel is more than 50 miles (one way) from their home to that location. If any overnight stay is required (which is rare in our group), costs will be reimbursed.

EOE serves as a connective layer between field operations, program execution, data and digital enablement, and enterprise strategy, ensuring that initiatives are prioritized, standardized, and delivered in a way that improves safety, reliability, affordability, and operational efficiency.

Position Summary:
  • The Program Manager, Electric Operations Strategy leads the planning, governance, and execution of a portfolio of strategic initiatives, programs, pilots, projects that advance Electric Operations priorities.
  • This role serves as a critical bridge between strategy and executionproviding structure, discipline, and cross?functional coordination to ensure initiatives are prioritized effectively, delivered on schedule, and scaled for sustained operational impact.
  • The Program Manager partners closely with operations SMEs, data/digital teams, and executive stakeholders to drive performance transparency, resolve cross?organizational dependencies, and translate leadership direction into measurable, repeatable outcomes.
  • This is a fast-paced, high-impact and high-visibility role that puts this individual right in the center of the Electric strategy org, to enable catastrophic wildfire risk reduction, climate adaptation, climate mitigation, and improved affordability for the customers that client has the privilege to serve.
  • This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned location based on business need. Travel Estimated at 1 day out of the work week to report to office locations within(but not limited to) the bay area.

Job Responsibilities will include:
  • Help define scope, conduct discovery, and align objectives of initiatives Support project/initiative planning end to end
  • Align on roles and responsibilities with partners and relevant cross-functional client teams
  • Maintain ongoing communications cadence with partner organizations Identify, analyze, and address project performance issues
  • Ensure quality of project delivery, troubleshooting with pilot partners as needed to accomplish project goals
  • Track and review project deliverables Communicate project status to internal stakeholders on regular basis
  • Coordinate partner projects with client operations as needed Assess project risk and develop contingency plans; and identify and communicate lessons learned and best practices
  • Manage and accountable for technical implementation plan across projects
  • Create executive level power point presentations Coordinate and participate in field visits Support with various ad-hoc requests supporting Electric Operations Strategy team
Qualifications Minimum:
  • 4-6 years of experience managing programs/projects of related or relevant experience Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in business
  • Experience leading or supporting programs, initiatives, or portfolios within operations, strategy, or operational excellence functions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams or initiatives simultaneously
  • Experience working in a cross functional, matrixed environment with operations and business stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience supporting leadership level updates and decision?making
Desired:
  • Background in utility, wildfire, forestry, and/or climate PMP Certifications
  • Ability to work effectively with senior staff members and management
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with external regulatory, governmental, business or customer groups
