Job Description:
The Systems Engineer I will support operational needs for the Applied Intelligence team. The role involves monitoring and troubleshooting ETL pipelines, managing AWS infrastructure, and responding to on-call issues.
Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and troubleshoot ETL pipelines and Neo4J EC2 instances
• Identify root causes, troubleshoot, and deploy fixes
• Monitor performance benchmarks and optimize parameters
• Address tickets related to ETL/infrastructure failures
• Document incidents and resolutions
• Drive simplification and automation for recurring issues

 
Core Requirements:

• Strong experience in deploying/operating AWS services: EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, EMR
• Expertise in automation using Python/Perl/shell scripting
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Solid understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
• Experience with Neo4J is highly desirable

 
Preferred Skills:

• AWS CDK, DevOps tooling, and monitoring
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, and Java
• Experience in deployment pipelines and infrastructure-as-code

 
Education & Experience:

• Required Degree: Bachelor’s in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience: 2–5 years in relevant systems engineering roles
• Former Amazon experience is a bonus
