Job Title: Engineering Technician
Location: San Diego, CA 92121
Duration: 12 months
 
Shift/Hours: M-F | 8 – 5 PM | 40hours/week,
 
Job Description:
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Helps set up and maintain benches, testers, and other equipment. Transports, installs, upgrades, and configures equipment and components.
• Performs basic measurements following SOP, contributes to documentation of test results, and maintains malfunction records.
• Helps conduct basic troubleshooting and perform basic repair work, rework, removal, and adjustments to equipment as necessary with individuals inside own team.
• Helps set up test equipment using hand tools or automatic test methods to perform routine tests of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.’
• Executes manual and automated test plans as defined and reproduces and debugs routine issues.

 
Level of Responsibility: 

• Works under supervision.
• Decision-making affects direct area of work and/or work group.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information.
• Tasks consist of a limited number of steps which can be referenced using directions or manuals.

 
Required Years of Experience

• 1+ year of experience with general computer skills and Microsoft applications.
• 1+ year of experience in Semiconductor or related industry.
• Use soldering irons and hand tools, such as screw drivers, pliers.

 
Required Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Proficiency with Hand-Tools

• Proficient with PC operation and MS-Office
• Able to communicate progress and issues with engineering stakeholders.
