JOB DESCRIPTION
Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for Depot Material Handler (Part Time Position-20 hours per week) to join them. You will report to our Process Manager and will have an onsite work schedule at the San Diego, CA.
To be considered for the Depot Material Handler, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
- High School Diploma, GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all work instructions and training.
- Experience working with Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) preferred.
- 2 years or more of experience in Material Handling, or logistics or supply chain preferred.
- Basic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)
As a Depot Material Handler, your responsibilities includes:
Inventory Control:
- Warehousing and proper storage of all client parts
- Store all Government property in secured areas
Receiving Inspection:
- Receive hardware/components from client Torrance
- Prepare kits to be sent to Depot
- Verify paperwork and store unit
Depot Repair:
- Deliver the unit/parts to depot personnel
- Liaison between client and Depot
- Responsible to ensure client Quality standards are meet
- Track units as they move through the depot in client MBS
Maintain client stockroom at Depot
- Responsible for client’s 24 hours parts turn-around commitment
- Responsible for parts replenishment at our on-site stockroom
- Store extra parts from completed kits at on-site stockroom
Shipping unit to end customers
- Confirm C of C and Serviceable Tag (DD1574) is signed by the depot
- Coordinate with ATAC or other carrier for pick-up
Tracking cost at the Depot
- Collect and monitor Artisan cost at depot
Correspondence Publications
- Publish when units are sent to Depot for work
- Publish when units are shipped.
This role requires to be on your feet constantly and be able to lift materials and containers up to 35 pounds regularly. For materials of greater weight, you will have access to lifting devices to assist, with some of these devices requiring provided training.
