Job Summary
Client is seeking a Calibration Technician II to support its Test Equipment & Metrology team in San Diego. This position is responsible for calibrating, troubleshooting, maintaining, and documenting electronic and mechanical test equipment in a laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with calibration processes, electronic test equipment, and strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or equivalent Military Electronics experience (preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience in calibration or electronics testing
- Experience using calibration software such as METCAL, TME, or CAL EXEC is preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Perform calibration on a wide variety of electronic and mechanical test equipment
- Conduct both manual and automated calibrations using laboratory software
- Troubleshoot out-of-tolerance equipment and measurement errors
- Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on test equipment
- Read and interpret engineering specifications and technical documentation
- Prepare calibration reports and certificates with accurate documentation
- Prioritize and manage daily calibration workload independently
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and cross-functional engineering teams
- Support junior technicians and assist Calibration Leads/Supervisors as needed
Required Technical Knowledge
- Hands-on experience with calibration and troubleshooting of test equipment such as:
- Digital Multimeters
- Oscilloscopes (up to 33 GHz)
- Signal Generators (up to 26.5 GHz)
- Frequency Counters
- Function Generators
- Power Supplies
- Power Meters
- Temperature Chambers
- Experience calibrating advanced RF and communication equipment, including:
- Spectrum/Signal Analyzers (up to 50 GHz)
- Network Analyzers (up to 50 GHz)
- Power Sensors
- Communication Analyzers
- Digital Signal Generators (LTE/TD-SCDMA)
