Role: Digital Marketing Manager
Location: Richmond Hill, ON (3 days in office Tues-Thurs)
Duration: Direct Hire 



 
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Marketing and Web Manager to lead our digital marketing efforts and oversee the management of our website and CRM platforms. This role will manage a team of two, including a Web Developer and a Social Media Assistant, and will be responsible for driving digital strategy across SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and website functionality. The successful candidate will also evaluate the current web hosting platform, CRM challenges, and determine if a rebuild or migration is necessary to optimize business operations.
 
The objective of the role is:
  • Plan, execute, and manage all digital marketing for CLIENT, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media
  • Establish and execute a digital marketing strategy to distribute content
  • Maintain consistent brand messaging across all social channels
  • Identify, analyze, and measure trends and content to assess how well it’s performing and optimize user experience
  • Create and maintain an editorial calendar to deliver targeted content
  • Lead the web development transition from current backend to new ecosystem
 
Reporting directly to a Co-President, the Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for:
 
Website Management:
  • Oversee website performance, including SEO, SEM, and tagging strategies to enhance search visibility.
  • Monitor website analytics and user behavior to improve functionality and drive efficiencies.
  • Ensure website content is up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with brand goals.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to improve the functionality of the existing sales portal or create a new one based on needs.
  • Assess the impact of migrating away from Microsoft Navision and determine whether a website rebuild under a new hosting provider is necessary.
 
Social Media Management:
  • Lead social media strategy in collaboration with the Social Media Assistant, ensuring content is published consistently and aligns with audience preferences.
  • Analyze engagement metrics and adjust strategies to optimize performance.
  • Ensure the creation and dissemination of content across social platforms meets the company’s objectives.
 
Email Marketing:
  • Manage email marketing efforts, ensuring communication lists are segmented correctly to target the right audience with relevant content.
  • Optimize email campaigns to drive engagement, conversions, and brand awareness.
 
CRM:
  • Analyze current CRM challenges, particularly around adoption, and assess whether customizations or training could improve usage.
  • Evaluate if a CRM migration is necessary to meet the business's needs
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure CRM data is clean, up-to-date, and effectively utilized.
 
Programmatic Advertising & Media Buying:
  • Develop and manage programmatic advertising strategies across various platforms, optimizing spend to maximize ROI.
  • Lead media buying efforts, negotiating rates and ensuring effective placements for digital campaigns.
  • Monitor and optimize paid social media campaigns to achieve business objectives, utilizing data to refine targeting and messaging.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure alignment between paid media efforts and organic digital strategies.
 
Team Leadership:
  • Manage and mentor a team of two (Web Developer and Social Media Assistant), ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering professional growth.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally with Sales, IT, and Product teams to ensure that digital efforts are aligned with overall business objectives.
 
Reporting & Analysis:
  • Provide regular reports on website performance, social media engagement, email marketing results, and CRM adoption.
  • Identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement, proposing actionable insights.
 
Product & Pricing Database Management:
  • Oversee the management of product and pricing databases for partner websites, ensuring that all information is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively integrated with partner platforms.
  • Work closely with partners to ensure seamless data transfer and proper synchronization of product listings and pricing.
 
This is the perfect job for you, if you have/are:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, data analytics, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, digital marketing, database management, website management, and CRM systems.
  • Experience in B2B digital marketing, particularly in the lighting or building materials industry
  • Proven experience in managing teams and executing SEO, SEM, and social media strategies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Navision, and experience in managing website migrations or rebuilds is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with website analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMRush, etc.).
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and CRM systems (Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
  • Database management experience (Microsoft Navision Preferred)
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
