Job Title: Computer Vision Engineer
Location: Redmond, WA
Duration: 12 months
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Vision Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in 2D image processing, 3D geometry, and bundle adjustment, as well as experience in data collection methods and statistical analysis. As a Computer Vision Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, debugging, and testing computer vision algorithms against specified requirements. You will also be responsible for using simulation or test datasets to validate the algorithm. The algorithms will be used to provide calibration for sensors to enable machine perception algorithms. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, as you will be required to work with cross-functional teams to define data collection methods and to present your findings to stakeholders.
Must-Have Skills
1. Software Development Fundamentals: Solid grasp of software development principles, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
2. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems, identify solutions, and implement them effectively.
3. Communication and Collaboration Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python programming language.
Nice-to-Have Skills
1. Programming languages: Knowledge of C++, Computer Vision, VR, or other programming languages.
2. Software development tools: Familiarity with specific software development tools, such as SQL or VisualBasic.
3. Leadership skills: Experience in mentoring or leading teams, but not required for all roles.
Responsibilities:
? Develop and implement computer vision algorithms that meet specific requirements.
? Define data collection methods and manage data acquisition for use in developing algorithms.
? Perform statistical analysis and use simulation or test datasets to validate the algorithm.
? Debug, test and validate algorithms to ensure high-quality results.
? Develop geometric calibration algorithms including SLAM camera calibration, eye tracking camera calibration, inertial measurement unit calibration, and other sensors to be modeled.
? Use C++ to develop and optimize algorithms for real-time applications.
? Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and data scientists.
? Participate in the design, development, and deployment of computer vision applications.
Requirements:
? A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
? Proficiency in C++ and Python
? Experience with 2D image processing, 3D geometry, and/or bundle adjustment.
? Experience with statistical analysis
? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
? Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

? Data collection: Developing software to collect data from various devices, including Quest devices, Orion, and 6 degree of freedom robots.
? Data processing: Building software to process and clean the collected data, ensuring it is accurate and reliable.
? Data analysis: Creating analytics and visualizations to help us understand the data and make informed decisions.
? Interfacing: Developing software to interface with manufacturing robots and other devices, enabling seamless communication and data exchange. Any companies they would like to see on resumes
? Technology industry: Companies like Microsoft, Magic Leap, or other tech giants
? Automotive sector: Automotive manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, or companies specializing in automotive calibration
Interview process:
3 rounds, each lasting 1 hour
Technical Round: 1. Software and coding challenges (1 hour)
2. Design Round: Design thinking and problem-solving exercises (1 hour)
3. Behavioural Round: Behavioural fit and soft skills assessment (1 hour)
