Job Description

Location: Ponce, PR

Job Summary:
The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves conducting inspections, implementing quality control procedures, maintaining records, and working closely with production teams to address quality concerns. The coordinator plays a key role in ensuring product consistency, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. Additional tasks may be assigned based on operational needs.

Responsibilities:
Quality Control & Inspection
  • Monitor and inspect materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct routine and random quality audits to identify defects and inconsistencies.
  • Investigate and report non-conformance issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed quality control records, test results, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in preparing for internal and external quality audits.
Process Improvement & Troubleshooting
  • Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with production teams to enhance efficiency.
  • Support the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze quality data and trends to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Communication & Training
  • Provide guidance and training to production staff on quality control standards and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between production, quality assurance, and management teams.
  • Ensure clear communication of quality expectations and updates across departments.
Equipment & Lab Testing Support
  • Assist in the calibration and maintenance of quality control testing equipment.
  • Perform or oversee product testing, including chemical, physical, and microbiological evaluations when required.
     
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biology, Chemist), Quality Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Combination of office, laboratory, and production floor settings.
  • May required standing for long periods and working in manufacturing areas with machinery and raw materials.
