Our hydro facilities include 62 conventional hydro powerhouses, a pumped-storage facility, 98 reservoirs, 168 dams and more than 200 miles of canals and flumes, among other water conveyances. Several utility-scale solar generation plants also are operated and maintained, as well as PG&E’s successful entry into battery energy storage, our Elkhorn Battery facility at Moss Landing in Monterey County.  Position SummaryThe Manager, Sourcing Portfolio serves as the primary interface between Power Generation business customers and Procurement, ensuring a high-quality customer experience while delivering strategic sourcing solutions that support operational reliability, financial performance, and long-term business objectives. The Portfolio Manager is accountable for developing and executing sourcing strategies, aligning procurement activities with business priorities, overseeing category performance, and leading strategic sourcing events from opportunity identification through contract execution. Through strong stakeholder engagement and demand planning, the Portfolio Manager ensures sourcing decisions balance cost, quality, schedule, supplier capability, and risk while delivering value to customers. This Manager leads a team of Category Leaders who, together with the Portfolio Manager, comprise the strategic sourcing organization supporting Power Generation. This team is responsible for achieving operational and financial goals through cost savings, value creation, supplier base optimization, and continuous process improvement. The role provides leadership for Supplier Relationship and Performance Management (SRPM) across Power Generation, driving supplier accountability, strengthening strategic partnerships, and proactively mitigating supply chain risks. By leveraging market intelligence, analytics, and collaboration across the organization, the Portfolio Manager identifies efficiencies, enhances contracting outcomes, improves supplier performance, and advances a resilient, cost-effective supply chain that supports the safe and reliable generation of electricity. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location 50% of the time.
