Job Title: Project Manager
Onsite. Chicago, Illinois
Duration: 12 months
An experienced IAM Project Manager to lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise-wide Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives. This role requires strong Project and stakeholder management skills, as well as a deep understanding of IAM technologies, governance, compliance, and security best practices. The Project Manager will be responsible for aligning IAM project deliverables with strategic objectives, managing resources, budgets, and timelines, and ensuring cross-functional collaboration between cybersecurity, IT, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of IAM modernization programs including planning, implementation, and post deployment support. Create visualizations of timelines through Gantt charts.
• Develop and manage a detailed IAM Project roadmap covering areas such as Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication(MFA), Identity platform enablement, and user/app migration to new identity solutions.
• Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and security stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize initiatives.
• Manage Project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and budgets while maintaining alignment with organizational goals.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors and third-party partners for tool implementation, integration, and ongoing support.
• Ensure IAM initiatives align with compliance standards such as SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, and NIST.
• Drive implementation, coordination, user adoption, change management, and communication efforts across departments.
• Monitor and report on Project KPIs and success metrics to executive leadership.
• Track and support maintenance of up-to-date documentation, policies, and procedures related to identity and access management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT Program/Project Management, with at least 3+ years focused on IAM or security initiatives.
• Strong understanding of IAM concepts, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Microsoft Entra, Oracle Access Manager, Okta, Ping, ForgeRock).
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-phase programs across large enterprises.
• Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOX, HIPAA).
• Exceptional communication, leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Experience creating and presenting content for executive leadership audiences.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies. PMP, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certifications.
• Hands-on experience with identity provisioning, SSO, MFA, or identity federation technologies is a strong plus.
• Previous experience in cloud IAM (Microsoft Entra, AWS IAM, or Google Cloud Identity).
• Experience working in regulated environments (ex. Airline, finance, healthcare, government, etc.)
