Job Description
Title: Data Analyst
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension)
Description:
The client is seeking a hands-on Data Analyst with strong experience in the Microsoft analytics ecosystem to support R&D Business Operations. The ideal candidate has proven expertise using Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Excel, and SharePoint to pull, clean, automate, and visualize complex datasets. This role requires real-world execution skills, not entry-level or theoretical experience.
Candidates should be able to independently build automated data comparisons, dashboards, alerts, and master datasets, and deliver analytics solutions quickly. Experience in biotech, biopharma, medical device, R&D, or supply chain environments is a strong plus. Candidates will complete a practical data exercise as part of the interview process to validate technical proficiency.
The position focuses on using data, automation, and process innovation to optimize supplier management, enhance operational workflows, and support business decisions. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, this role will develop digital tools, monitor supplier performance metrics, and drive efficiency through AI and automation initiatives.
This is a hands-on manager role that blends technical innovation, process optimization, and project coordination, with a clear mandate to deliver measurable improvements in supplier oversight and business outcomes.
Preferred Traits:
• Passion for exploring, organizing, and making sense of large and complex datasets
• Strong intellectual curiosity with the ability to learn new concepts, scripts, tools, and analytical methods
• Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Proven ability to deliver work in an organized, accurate, and on-time manner
• Comfort working in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree & 2+ years of experience (Engineering, Operations, OR Scientific)
Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:
1. Data Visualization & Analytics – Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau (or Spotfire), with the ability to create clear, compelling dashboards and visualizations that drive insight and action.

3. Automation, AI & Advanced Tools – Experience with process automation (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath), applied AI use cases, and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and visualizations to support supplier performance tracking and business insights
• Prototype and customize analytical applications, often leveraging outputs from data science models
• Partner closely with business stakeholders to iteratively refine analyses and dashboard designs
• Collaborate with IS and Data Engineering teams to ensure data models and pipelines are robust and aligned with business requirements
• Develop, monitor, and report on supplier performance metrics
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation and AI-driven solutions to improve workflows and decision-making
• Explore and evaluate new tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance analytics and data processing capabilities
• Coordinate analytics and automation initiatives to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
