Your Team
As a QA Lead Software Engineer in GI Product Delivery, you will partner closely with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers, and delivery professionals to strengthen and mature the Contracts Platform. You will design quality strategies, test plans, automation frameworks, and validation approaches that ensure our applications are robust, reliable, and built to scale.
In addition to advanced QA and automation expertise, you will bring strong analytical skills, communication abilities, collaboration, Agile ways of working, deep business insight, and a continuous learning mindset.

Your Team
As a QA Lead Software Engineer in GI Product Delivery, you will partner closely with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers, and delivery professionals to strengthen and mature the Contracts Platform. You will design quality strategies, test plans, automation frameworks, and validation approaches that ensure our applications are robust, reliable, and built to scale.

What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
- Define and drive quality strategy across the Contracts Platform, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and business outcomes.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks (unit, integration, end-to-end, functional, and non-functional) using modern tools and best practices.
- Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria in partnership with product owners and tech leads.
- Identify, document, and track defects, performing root cause analysis and driving teams toward resolution.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to understand the system end-to-end and ensure high-quality delivery across distributed services.
- Evaluate and introduce new testing tools and technologies, embedding innovation and continuous improvement into the QA practice.
- Ensure test coverage for APIs, microservices, UI components, data pipelines, and integrations across PRIME, CPM, Contract Generation, and related systems.
- Support performance, reliability, security, and accessibility testing across the platform.
- Mentor and coach team members on best practices in automation, quality engineering, and Agile testing.
- Work on complex problems where analysis of data and system behavior requires a deep understanding of variables and cross-system workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to coach others with minimal oversight and leverage diverse perspectives to enhance team outcomes.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Strong understanding of business concepts, system interactions, and end-to-end workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability and drive to continuously learn new tools, technologies, and quality techniques.
- Advanced experience and/or expertise in several of the following areas:
- Test Engineering & Automation
- Automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, PyTest).
- API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, Karate).
- CI/CD-integrated testing and quality gates.
- Performance testing (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, K6).
- Non-functional testing—including load, stress, reliability, security, and accessibility.
- Test data management, mocking, and simulation frameworks.
- Programming & Frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, and modern architectural patterns.
- Experience with React, Spring Boot, Node.js is a plus for front-end and service-level testing.
- APIs & Data-: Testing REST APIs, JSON, XML, SOAP, and messaging systems.
- Databases: Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB (querying, validation, test setup/teardown).
- Data streaming tools: SQS, Kinesis.
- DevOps & SDLC Using GitHub, Bitbucket, Subversion for branching, versioning, and CI/CD workflows.
- Test execution and reporting through Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Strong grasp of logging/monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch) to validate system behavior.
- Security & Compliance
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, encryption, JWT, SSL/TLS, OAuth 2.0, SAML.
- Understanding of secure testing practices and basic penetration testing concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing in AWS environments.
- Exposure to architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven).
- Design Thinking experience related to usability & customer experience validation.
- Experience with OpenText, Quadient, or DocuSign testing.
- Financial/insurance industry experience is beneficial, but not required.
