Job Description

Title: Senior Automation Engineer
Duration: 6 Months (Hybrid - Tues/Wed/Thurs) (Potential to Convert)
Location: New York, NY
 
Overview:
Join a dynamic team, contributing to innovative technology initiatives including Generative AI and digital transformation. This temporary role is ideal for a seasoned automation engineer with strong leadership skills and a passion for quality engineering.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript), Selenium (Java), Appium, Cypress, and other tools.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts in Java, JavaScript, and C#.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
  • Conduct performance testing and infrastructure support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive resolution of issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team leadership.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to report progress, risks, and quality metrics.
  • Support manual testing and articulate complex requirements for test case creation.

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in test automation and quality engineering.
  • Strong experience with Playwright (TypeScript), Selenium (Java), and integration testing.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship experience.
  • Solid programming skills in Java, JavaScript, and C#.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline integration.
  • Strong manual testing and API testing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in life insurance, finance, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS) and cloud-native tools.
  • Experience with Browserstack or similar cloud services.
  • Strong soft skills and ability to mentor within a POD structure.
  • Experience with low code solutions such as TOSCA and MABL
