Title: Financial Analyst V
Location: Menlo Park, California (Hybrid 3 Days)
Duration: 6 Months
 
Job Overview:

• The main functions of a financial analyst are to gather and analyze financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs.
• This role will have a heavy emphasis on valuation and financial modeling. The financial analyst will be responsible for putting together valuation models, tracking financial performance of investments, and financial modeling for various valuation applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed financial and valuation models across many use cases, including debt issuances, interest collection, valuation of infrastructure (e.g., data center and other IT infrastructure), private company investments, derivatives, intangible assets, and various forms of liabilities.
• Review the performance of private company investments, including equity, convertible debt, debt, and other instruments.
• Understand and quantify associated risks of investments.
• Tracking investment performance, impairment monitoring, and valuation updates when required.

• Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deal with challenging problems that require formulating new solutions.
• Strong ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
• Strong knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
• Experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software. 

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related financial discipline required.
