Job Title: Data Management - Sr. Data Analyst Duration: 5 Months Location: Candidates local to McLean are preferred, candidates local to Richmond will be considered (just not preferred). The expectation is hybrid with physical attendance onsite 3 days per week will be required
Responsibilities: Innovation... Act as key data lead to leverage versatile technical capabilities to drive the development, evolution, and implementation of data products, which enable self-service by data consumers Re-engineer data processes and migrate the processes from on-premises to Amazon Web Services Explore industry trends, tools, and techniques in Open Source/Big Data/Digital domain Business Intelligence... Execute and monitor data processes that deliver critical data to partners and regulators Develop prototypes and implement new business intelligence tools, solutions, and techniques Assist in development of standards and policies for business intelligence frameworks Data Management... Evaluate data management, data quality and data access processes for gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities; provide recommendations for improvement Implement solutions and processes for management and governance across data quality metrics, metadata, lineage, data access rights, and business definitions Develop data mapping to enable data end users to more easily transition to using new systems
Ideal candidate will have: Degree specialized in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline Experience with Python, Pyspark, Snowflake SQL, Unix/Linux, Github Experience with Amazon Web Services products such as Quicksight and Snowflake Experience with BI tools such as Quicksight
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree At least 1 year of experience with hands on Snowflake SQL At least 1 year of experience Python coding along with automation scripting skills At least 1 year of experience in querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline Experience in domain knowledge focused on risk management/audit/ credit operational control space 1+ years of experience working within process management and improvement methodologies – Lean, Six Sigma, etc) 1+ years of experience working with and demonstrating knowledge of data governance, data quality management concepts and data quality tools management concepts and data quality tools
