Phlebotomist

Location: 25892 N James Madison, New Canton, VA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Duration: 3 months

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join a client office in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing blood collections, heel sticks, and providing quality patient care for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform approximately 30 blood draws per day.
• Perform venipuncture and heel sticks.
• Collect specimens accurately while following proper procedures.
• Draw patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced client office environment.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Remain on your feet for approximately 90% of the shift.
• Follow all applicable compliance and safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Completion of Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training.
• Ability to perform blood draws/venipuncture.
• Ability to perform heel sticks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates must successfully clear all required compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of phlebotomy experience.
• Previous experience in an outpatient setting.
• Experience working with pediatric through geriatric patients.
• Relevant phlebotomy certification is preferred but not required.

Training

• Approximately 1 week of training at a location determined by the candidate's residence, either Farmville PSC or Charlottesville PSC.
• Travel is required only during training.

Work Environment

• Onsite, stationary position.
• Team-based environment.
• Fast-paced client office setting.
