Job Description

Job Title: Production Technician - Strip Pack - 3rd Shift
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46256
Duration: 12 Months Assignment
Work hours:  10:30 pm - 7 am Sunday-Thursday
(Overtime required if we don't hit weekly target, voluntary otherwise)

Experience preferred, but not required:
  • Machine Operator skills.
  • Machine experience is a plus.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Must be computer savvy.
  • Experience in a GMP environment.
  • Experience in an ISO environment.
Must-Haves:
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to stand for 8 hours.
Skill requirements:
  • Positive Attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Adaptable.
  • Approachable/Friendly/Positive Attitude/Pleasant to work with.

Education Requirements:
  • GED/HSDP.
Job Duties:
  • Has a key responsibility in supporting the packaging of diabetic testing strips.
  • Sets up and operates a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the packaging of testing strips.
  • Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.
  • Assisting with packaging and labeling vials and finished products.
  • Operating and monitoring machinery and performing cleaning of the machine as needed.
  • Loading boxes, vials, and pamphlets into machines to be packaged and distributed with products.
  • Lift and carry products and materials to the QC area, recycling, trash, or other areas.
  • Use a pallet jack to move material and product on pallets for other areas and place them in a staging area.
  • Audit the packaged material.
  • Performing quality control measures on incoming components. Inspect all parts, orders, and equipment for quality/safety.
  • Individual responsibility for personal and area safety.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
  • Build boxes for the product.
  • Performs final close of boxes, which includes scanning for content.
  • Palatalizing goods for transport, preparing and shrink wrapping pallets for shipment.
  • Transporting pallets of products from line 10 or line 12 areas to the kanban area.
  • Completing paperwork duties, as needed.
  • Rework – 2,000 – 5,000 pieces in a day.
