Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: 3301 Aspen Grove Dr., Franklin, TN
Duration: 3+ Months
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Summary:
The Phlebotomist II assists in performing various assigned duties including blood collection, troubleshooting, training support, and workflow recommendations. This role ensures accurate specimen collection, processing, and documentation while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture using straight needles and butterfly needles

Collect blood, urine, fecal, and other specimens as required

Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens according to test orders

Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes with 100% accuracy

Verify test requisitions or computer labels against physician orders

Package specimens properly for transport

Store specimens at required temperatures

Record maintenance data and perform decontamination procedures

Update patient information accurately in system

Clearly and courteously explain specimen collection procedures to patients

Follow established specimen handling and safety procedures
Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience performing blood draws

Strong attention to detail and specimen labeling accuracy

Knowledge of centrifugation and specimen processing

Ability to understand and follow physician orders

Strong communication and patient interaction skills

Ability to work efficiently in a clinical setting
