Summary:
Client is looking for a senior DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, and automating cloud platform capabilities that enable secure, scalable, and standardized AWS adoption across the Cloud Center of Excellence (COE). The role will focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipeline development, cloud automation, ServiceNow integrations, DevSecOps implementation, observability, and self-service provisioning.

Summary:

Certifications needed/preferred:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on expertise with Terraform and policy-as-code integration
- Proficiency in Ansible – playbook development, roles, inventory management, and template playbooks for enterprise middleware (DB2, MQ, SQL Server).
- Experience designing and managing EKS or AKS clusters
- Understanding of IAM structure, least-privilege access design, encryption standards, and enterprise tagging strategies.
- Awareness of DevSecOps principles and integration of security controls into infrastructure pipelines
- Proficiency with Git and version control workflows; familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) for running IaC pipelines
- Strong documentation skills – ability to author standards documents, runbooks, and architectural decision records.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain reusable Terraform IaC modules covering Networking (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing), base compute standards, Kubernetes platforms (EKS/AKS), patching frameworks, container base images, and security baselines.
- Establish and enforce Golden Path reference architectures (top 3–5 patterns) for containerized microservices on Kubernetes and VM-based legacy applications, embedding opinionated defaults for tagging, naming conventions, encryption, and least-privilege access.
- Build and manage pre-approved IaC templates integrated with policy-as-code controls and provide starter environments across dev, test, and production.
- Define and implement Ansible standards and template playbooks for middleware components including DB2, MQ, and SQL Server.
- Develop IaC Templates (Golden Path) : develop Application deployment patterns to be used by the organization and create reusable templates for them
- Integrate account provisioning with ServiceNow approval
