Role: Technical Program Manager
Location: Austin, TX (3 to 4 days a week onsite)
Duration: 6 months (Potential for extension)
Our Opportunity:
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and passionate Technical Program Manager (TPM) of Mobile to take our customer experience to the next level.
The technical program manager role will collaborate with other product and technology teams, to ensure our Mobile app is meeting our clients’ expectations. An ideal candidate will be process and data oriented, have strong communication skills, and have extensive experience with secure, client-facing online technologies with a preference for experience in Mobile apps
The role will lead the planning, refinement of the backlog, enabling effective execution. This will require working directly with Dev Managers, Product managers, cross functional team members and other TPM’s to ensure timely delivery and tactical execution against the roadmap

What you’ll do:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Leadership in your areas of responsibility, owning proactive communications and consistent progress updates.
- Partnering and direct facilitation with teams at all levels; from in the weeds with developers on projects to summations and process strategy at the executive level.
- Assist in presenting strategy/roadmaps to business/ IT leaders
- Lead multiple teams of diverse scope where analysis requires an understanding of current business and technology trends
- Coordinate and optimize the efforts of cross-functional teams, including across conflicting streams, identifying risks and proactively mitigating them.
- Providing problem-solving leadership with an expert ability to navigate dynamic and conflicting opinions and deliver within budget and per schedule
- Collaborate with other technical teams and Mobile Architects/Technical leads to translate the roadmap into initiatives and epics and refine them into stories with acceptance criteria.
- Manage budget and vendor relationships including work orders, vendor evaluation and delivery progress by vendors
Required/Must haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- 3-4 years of technical program management experience
- 1-2 years of experience in Mobile app development
- Software delivery experience as an engineer
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum and leading technical backlog creation, refinement and story creation in partnership with the developers.
- Comfort in a dynamic, fast-moving and collaborative work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic.
- Keen eye for recognizing consistent and efficient experiences and processes and promoting a continuous improvement culture.
- Experience in building partnerships, mobilizing and motivating teams, influencing others at all levels of an organization, and driving change to effectively deliver on projects in a cross-functional environment
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally
