Title: SDET- Software Developer Engineer Test - Mid-Level
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite 4 days/week) – Southlake, TX (Backup Location)
Duration: 12 Months

Your Opportunity

The mobile technology team is responsible for designing, building, supporting, and evolving client-facing native mobile apps. We have been a key partner working with product teams to deliver excellent client experiences to millions of users.

You will work closely with product teams to pair your mobile technology knowledge with product knowledge to create creative and innovative solutions that delight customers and disrupt competitors. What You Are Good At

This role requires the Development Engineer in Test to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using Appium. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and execute testing strategies that meet our quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain functional test automation scripts for mobile applications using Appium with Java

  • Ensure automation is constantly running, analyzing, and promptly reporting failures

  • Work with leadership to research, investigate, implement, and train other QA Testing resources in Test-Driven Development and Test Automation using Appium with Java

  • Work cross-organizationally within and with external vendors (onshore and offshore) to define environment requirements, identify automation-related tools, and develop and execute best automation processes and practices

  • Foster an end-to-end testing approach across multiple applications

  • Partner with geographically distributed teams to plan future QA tooling and technology decisions

  • Liaise with product teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to integrate project plans, testing schedules, and metrics reporting


What You Have

  • 2+ years of experience in Mobile Application Development

  • 2–4 years of experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks

  • 4+ years of experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts

  • Hands-on coding experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages

  • Experience with XCUI and/or Espresso; Kotlin and Swift preferred

  • Working knowledge of industry-standard tools for logging bugs and managing test cases (e.g., JIRA/MTM, Zephyr/HPQ)

  • Proven ability to successfully balance and deliver multiple geographically distributed QA projects with concurrent releases

  • Solid understanding of mobile development on iOS and/or Android devices

  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and Lean DevOps methodologies

  • Knowledge of design systems

  • Financial/Trading services industry experience is a plus
