Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Analyst and Project Manager to be a foundational member of this new team. This role will be instrumental in building the processes that turn regulatory intelligence into actionable insights for our product, legal, risk, and compliance teams.

This role is well suited for a self-starting independent thinker who loves solving problems, managing complex projects, and learning new subject matter areas. We’re looking for someone who works well both independently and in collaborative environments with minimal formal structure and is comfortable in changing environments with competing priorities. The ideal candidate will possess financial services knowledge, a natural curiosity, and the ability to effectively shift between communications styles based on the audience, from technical conversations to executive leadership updates.

Description:

We are seeking a Regulatory Analyst and Project Manager to work in two key areas: (1) review, analyze, and perform the initial assessment of incoming regulatory alerts to determine the relevance to our products, features, and global expansion plans; and (2) coordinate projects as we establish our new horizon scanning operating model, ensuring that significant regulatory developments are identified, summarized, and escalated efficiently.

In this role you will:
  • Review and analyze daily regulatory alerts to identify developments relevant to our products and services;
  • Draft clear, concise, and objective summaries of key regulatory developments for internal stakeholders;
  • Maintain meticulous records of regulatory alerts within our internal systems, building an organized and auditable repository of regulatory intelligence;
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and refinement of the new regulatory insights program’s operational workflows and procedures;
  • Work cross-functionally on new regulatory tracking initiatives;
  • Develop and maintain project tracking;
  • Communicate project status updates to various project partners, including team members and executives. Synthesize a multitude of issues into a clear, concise and focused message. Present with confidence and brevity;
  • Engage with the legal and compliance teams to evangelize best practices and pursue improvements; and
  • Oversee end-to-end initiatives that require the coordination of multiple teams to reach resolution.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of regulatory, legal, compliance, risk management, or project management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exceptional analytical skills and an ability to synthesize complex information from legal and regulatory documents;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to summarize complex topics clearly and concisely;
  • Experience coordinating requests from regulators and government agencies;
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy;
  • Ability to work independently, manage high volumes of information, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment;
  • A self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and eager to help build new processes from the ground up;
  • Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams to achieve complex objectives;
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information; and
  • Experience in the payments, fintech, or financial services industry is a strong plus.
