Job Description

Title- Metadata Project Coordinator
Duration – 11 Months 
Location – Austin TX 78727
Schedule: 
Monday–Friday on an 8-hour shift daily, between 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM CT. May require working outside normal business hours.

About the Role:
Metadata is at the heart of our Services, powering key aspects of the customer experience including the  TV content, UI, Universal Search, and Siri. The VSO Metadata Ops team ensures the Services products have the metadata quality and coverage needed to offer the best-in-class customer experience.

The Metadata Project Coordinator is an expert in metadata content curation. They will monitor the metadata quality and its accuracy to allow qualified metadata to surface on the TV app platform. Their expertise will allow them to investigate metadata issues and assess its impact on the TV app experience, provide resolutions by identifying process improvements, and seek opportunities for technical and tactical solutions to enhance the customer experience.


Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor ingested metadata and ensure highest quality for featuring on TV app platform.
  • Curate metadata for movies and TV shows using an internal CMS.
  • Provide immediate resolutions to functional issues by investigating and working closely with cross-functional teams for diagnosis.
  • Conduct thorough investigations on reported metadata issues to provide root cause analysis and improvement suggestions for processes and systems.
  • Understand system dependencies in order to anticipate upstream and downstream impact.
  • Use data visualization dashboards to propose data-driven decisions.
  • Partner with Project Leads to drive operational needs and process improvements.
  • Use project management tools to collaborate, track, and report in order to meet project deliverables according to the timeline.
  • Demonstrate strong and engaging communication and presentation skills to collaborate internally and cross-functionally.
  • Test tools and provide feedback to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify documentation gaps and assist in its development.

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 3 years of experience in digital media, technology, or related industry.
  • Up-to-date and wide variety knowledge of movies, TV shows, and social media platforms.
  • An understanding of the TV app’s services and features.
  • Possess a deep understanding of complex, large-scale media content management systems (CMS), and how metadata interplays and impacts the end-user experience.
  • Experience in using ticketing system and escalation management.
  • Project and/or program management experience; certifications are a plus.
  • Proven track record of identifying, troubleshooting, scoping, and diagnosing data issues in order to resolve or escalate to appropriate cross-functional teams, along with ability to learn from history and prevent errors from recurring.
  • Strong written and verbal business communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage time-sensitive escalations.
  • Highly detail-oriented with ability to multitask.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  • Comfortable with navigating ambiguity to make sound judgment calls.
  • Experience with some or all of the following:  products (macOS, tvOS, iOS, iPadOS, Keynote, Numbers), MS Office, project management tooling, XML.
  • Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as GBI or Tableau is a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • This position may require working at onsite facilities.
  • May require working weekends and US observed holidays.
