Job Title: Software Development Engineer – Cloud Efficiency & Automation
Location: Austin Onsite
Duration: 11 Months


About the Role

Join the CloudTune Team at a world-renowned tech giant as a Software Development Engineer focused on improving software efficiency and automating capacity assurance processes. In this role, you’ll lead the development of high-impact systems and tools that eliminate manual effort and enhance scalability across internal builder teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make meaningful contributions to critical cloud infrastructure initiatives, shaping the way we manage and optimize capacity at scale.


What You’ll Do

  • Design and build robust automation tools to streamline campaign management and eliminate manual processes.

  • Develop validation systems to track transferred capacity within release plans, ensuring accurate mapping and efficient resource allocation.

  • Enhance capacity planning by implementing data-driven models that adjust safety stock allocations based on historical trends and real-time utilization.

  • Automate peak period audits, delivering insights into capacity usage, reducing idle resources, and improving availability during high-demand cycles.


Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in software development, including:

    • Coding standards and best practices

    • Code reviews and source control (e.g., Git)

    • Build processes, testing frameworks, and operational support

  • 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, with strong knowledge of design patterns, scalability, and reliability.

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, etc.).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building internal developer tools or systems for capacity management.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts and operations.

  • Passion for operational excellence and software efficiency.
