Title: Business Analyst – Sales Compensation
Location: Toronto, ON (open to remote but prefer 2 days onsite)
Duration: 5+ months Contract with possible extension

  • As the ideal candidate, you are comfortable working at all levels of an organization and possess exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills. This role will require you to use both your strategic as well as tactical implementation and operational excellence skills. You will be a self-starter who can work cross-functionally and build strong working relationships with internal organizations. You will need to have a thorough understanding of SAAS-based compensation plans, Salesforce, Xactly in addition to the operational aspects of the Sales Compensation process.
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead (or contribute to) project teams focusing on key compensation initiatives related to compensation strategy, business process improvement and tool implementation or development.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to implement improvements related to internal and cross functional processes.
  • Develop integration requirements by working cross-functionally with GIC teams and gathering information.
  • Be a leader in the system or process development by understanding the business process and use cases and translating them into an integration solution.
  • Facilitate requirements discussions and consult on requirement prioritization and scope alignment.
  • Lead the documentation and gathering of requirements and system interfaces in an easily consumable format.
  • Coordinate sign-off process to ensure team alignment and obtain team confirmation of integration requirements.
  • Core member of the functional testing process to ensure successful system integration.
  • Seek opportunities for process improvements.
  • Write and maintain operational playbooks.
 
Required Skills/Experience
  • 4 - 5+ years of operational responsibilities related to SAAS models preferred (sales compensation experience is a plus).
  • Proven track record of working in medium to large size organizations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in driving large projects forward successfully to completion with formal methodologies for project and/or sprint plans.
  • Ability to work in close collaboration with business and technical teams, and communicate in technical and non-technical language per audience.
  • Experience gathering requirements and creating BRDs (Business Requirement Documents) and SRSs (System Requirement Specifications).
  • Ability to analyze pain points in areas and processes within a cross-functional organization. Effective in implementing new and improved processes.
  • Strong technical/ analytical skills with an ability to manipulate data in Excel; knowledge of formulas and pivot tables.
  • Effective influencer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Presentation skillset - ability to create clear and concise executive summary documents and presentations that highlight team status & achievements, drive discussion, summarize project details and promote brand.
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven and possess the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Performs well under pressure and can work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Program Management capability.
  • Bachelors degree is required.
