Job Title: Mechanical Equipment Installation & Commissioning Engineer
Location: Redmond, Washington 98052
Duration: 6 months
Schedule:

4 different schedules
    • 2 people Sun to Wed on 1st shit  
    • 2 people Sun to Wed to 2nd shift  
    • 2 people Wed to Sat 1st shift  
    • 2 people Wed to Sat 2nd shift 
Overview:
  • We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Equipment Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join our team.
  • This role involves the precise installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical systems, a strong troubleshooting background, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Installation: Install industrial equipment and machinery with precision, adhering to technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Equipment Bring-Up and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues during equipment setup and operation, ensuring systems function as intended.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular preventative maintenance to ensure long-term reliability and performance of mechanical systems.
  • Machine Commissioning: Oversee commissioning processes, including system testing and calibration, and provide troubleshooting support as needed.
  • Facilities Workshop Maintenance: Manage and maintain the workshop to ensure it is fully operational, organized, and equipped for ongoing projects.
  • Custom Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of custom-built equipment, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
  • Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Work closely with engineers to provide design feedback, assist with project execution, and support commissioning activities.
  • Production and Development Support: Provide mechanical support to production and development teams as required, facilitating smooth operations.
 
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial machinery, with a strong background in mechanical systems.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on expertise in preventative maintenance, mechanical systems, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production.
  • Mindset: A proactive approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality in all aspects of work.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Degree or certificate in a related technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years working in a manufacturing environment, troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical equipment.
  • Specialized Skills: Experience assembling and commissioning custom machinery, including compressors, refrigeration systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, CNCs, process chilled water, and LN2 systems.
  • Advanced Mechanical Ability: Proficiency in refrigeration troubleshooting, compressed air systems, and specialized test equipment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read, interpret, and explain mechanical drawings; understanding of basic electrical and control systems; skilled in using tools for repairs.
  • Workshop Management: Experience setting up and maintaining a workshop in both development and high-speed production environments.
  • Machinery Operation: Competence in operating manual vertical mills, lathes, band saws, drill presses, and other common machines used in maintenance departments.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to develop clear and concise communications in both verbal and written forms across teams.
  • Rigging and Lifting Operations: Experience with rigging and lifting operations in an industrial setting.
