Job Title: Underwriting Associate
Job Location: Alpharetta, GA 30022
Duration: 12 months Assignment
Shift/Hours: 40hours/week, 8:00am-5:00pm EST
Work Model: In-office 5 days a week with the possibility of being able to work from home once they are trained and comfortable with the process. It will take approximately 6 weeks of training and the manager will decide if they qualify for WFH one day per week.

Job Summary:
- The Underwriting Associate is responsible for supporting the underwriting process within the Wholesale Environmental group.
- This position is accountable for collaborating with assigned team members to achieve service objectives for the conversion of Environmental Accounts from the old UW system into the New System.
- The Underwriting Associate will prepare renewals for review by the underwriter and translate data into policy registration system.
- Working closely with operations and underwriting the Underwriting Associate will ensure the achievement of accurate conversion of data and coding.
- Experience with administrative and clerical procedures including managing electronic files, data, and records.
- Experience of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This includes meeting established time and quality standards ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ability to establish priorities, coordinate and monitor personal work plan.
- The candidate will be expected to compare and contrast year-over-year reports.
- Managing an assigned book of business in order to meet stated deadlines for renewal.
- Outlook-will be used to respond to emails/templates available.
- Takes ownership and accountability for one's own work product and quality.
- Must be able to function effectively and efficiently in a time sensitive and high-volume environment.
- Excellent listening, reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Capability to work independently and within a team/group environment.
- Ability to quickly adapt to an ever-changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with internal and external resources in a multi-cultural environment.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent.
- 1-2 years-Knowledge and understanding of Property and Casualty insurance principles and practices a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in Customer Service.
