Must-Have Skills?:
Experience with developing evaluated machine learning models - particularly classification models Experience building or supporting ML systems in production environments
3+ years of professional software engineering experience
Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go, or similar).
Experience building, testing, and maintaining production-quality software.
Experience with common development practices and tools (e.g., version control, code review, CI/CD).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-have Skills
Experience at Meta would be preferred Or, experience at similar companies such as Google, Apple, Uber, Netflix etc.

Seeking a Software Engineer with foundational experience or exposure to Machine Learning (ML).
Core Product Focus: Supporting the "WAIST" (Why Am I Seeing This?) feature across Facebook and Instagram. Will manage and maintain ML classification models, monitor data quality, analyze dataset integrity, and investigate performance regressions.
Will also identify system gaps to prevent invalid configurations from begin onboarded and ensure operational excellence by maintaining quality guardrails across ML pipelines.
Responsibilities:
Client is seeking a Temporary Software Engineer to support time-bound engineering initiatives. The individual in this role will contribute to defined project deliverables, collaborating with cross-functional partners to build, improve, and maintain software systems.
Deliver well-scoped software enhancements and features aligned to project goals and timelines. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering standards.
Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve quality and reliability. - Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the development lifecycle. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, design, data, security) to support execution of defined deliverables. Create and maintain technical documentation for implemented solutions.
Contribute to operational excellence, including monitoring, incident response support, and performance improvements as needed.
