Title: Java Full Stack Lead Developer Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid, 3-4 days onsite) Duration: 3+ Years Interview: in-person
Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Java Full Stack Lead Developer with strong expertise in modern Java development, microservices, cloud-native applications, and front-end technologies. The ideal candidate will lead development efforts while actively contributing to design, coding, troubleshooting, and delivery of scalable enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java-based applications and microservices. • Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot. • Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker in cloud-native environments. • Implement event-driven solutions leveraging Kafka and MQ. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. • Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability. • Participate in code reviews, testing, and Agile development processes.
Required Skills • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development (Java 21+ preferred). • Strong expertise with Spring Boot and microservices architecture. • Experience with Angular (v19+) and RxJS. • Hands-on experience with Docker and cloud-native application development. • Strong knowledge of Kafka and message queue technologies. • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases. • Advanced SQL skills including query optimization, joins, stored procedures, and database design. • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Windsurf. • Proficiency with Git, Agile methodologies, and software development best practices. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Preferred Skills • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. • Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, and automated testing frameworks. • Experience in enterprise-scale financial services applications.
