Position: Global External Workforce Project Manager (India)
Role Overview This position is not a traditional project manager role focused on leading large-scale implementations. The primary objective is to provide structure, organization, coordination, and execution support across the Global External Workforce program. Manager is looking for someone who can quickly step in, organize multiple workstreams, proactively follow up with stakeholders, track deliverables, identify blockers, and ensure initiatives continue moving forward. This role is intended to take administrative and project coordination responsibilities off leadership so they can focus on strategic priorities. Key Focus Areas The majority of the role will involve:
Coordinating and tracking roadmap activities
Following up on actions, deliverables, and commitments
Managing recurring program activities and team cadence
Monitoring project progress and escalating blockers when needed
Supporting reporting, status updates, and leadership visibility
Facilitating stakeholder communication across multiple teams
Ensuring structure, accountability, and follow-through across initiatives
While there may be occasional ownership of individual projects or initiatives, the role is primarily focused on overseeing and driving progress across existing workstreams rather than personally leading large implementation projects. What Success Looks Like A successful candidate will:
Establish strong organization and structure across the team's priorities
Proactively follow up with stakeholders without requiring direction
Keep projects, enhancements, and operational activities moving forward
Ensure recurring activities and deadlines are not missed
Provide leadership with visibility into progress, risks, and blockers
Create a controlled and disciplined approach to execution
Manager specifically emphasized wanting someone who can "come in quickly, organize the team, and proactively drive things forward." Types of Work Supported Work will span multiple roadmap initiatives, including:
AGS/FlexForce program activities
Digital enhancement initiatives
Agile sprint support and backlog coordination
Internal operational improvement efforts
Reporting and workforce-related program initiatives
AI-related projects currently on the roadmap
Other strategic and operational priorities as assigned
Stakeholder Environment The individual will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including:
Manager and the Global External Workforce team
Procurement partners
Digital teams
Cross-functional business stakeholders
Internal program partners
Strong stakeholder management and follow-up skills are critical due to the number of teams involved and differing priorities across groups. Meeting Cadence Candidates should be comfortable working in a meeting-driven environment. Expected involvement includes:
Ongoing team meetings and project discussions
Digital planning sessions
Agile sprint meetings every two weeks
Backlog grooming and enhancement discussions
Stakeholder coordination meetings
The manager anticipates approximately 2-3 hours of meetings most days, with preparation and follow-up responsibilities associated with those discussions. Reporting Responsibilities Reporting is an important aspect of the role but is intended to support project coordination and visibility rather than act as a standalone reporting position. Deliverables may include:
Status updates
Roadmap tracking
Progress reporting
Goal tracking
Enhancement reporting
Leadership summaries
Quarterly and ad hoc reporting requests
Candidates should have experience creating clear, concise reporting and leadership-ready updates. Candidate Profile Preferred The manager is significantly more interested in proven experience than certifications. Top Priorities
Reporting, tracking, and status communication capabilities
Ability to work across diverse teams and perspectives
Nice to Have
Workforce, HR, procurement, contingent labor, or supplier management experience
Experience supporting digital enhancement projects

Certifications PMP, CAPM, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar certifications are welcome but not required. Relevant hands-on experience carries greater weight than certification credentials. Summary for Recruiters Focus on candidates who are proactive coordinators and execution-focused project professionals. The ideal candidate is someone who naturally drives follow-up, creates structure, maintains visibility across priorities, and keeps teams moving forward without requiring constant oversight. Candace is looking for a strong project management skill set applied to coordination, governance, accountability, and execution support, rather than a candidate whose background is solely focused on running large implementation projects.
