Position Title: Business Systems Analyst Work Location: San Diego CA 92121 Assignment Duration: 6 Months with potential 1 to 3 month extension Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Position Summary: Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
Background & Context: Business Systems Analyst supporting the Oncology business. Candidate will act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, gathering requirements, documenting business processes, translating business needs into technical solutions, and supporting business applications and workflow documentation. Oncology business unit. Fast-paced and highly regulated environment. Strong sense of urgency and purpose. Significant cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities: • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. • Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
Qualification & Experience: • May require an bachelor's degree in a related area and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. • Works under immediate supervision. • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. • Typically reports to a manager. • Experience working in a regulated laboratory, healthcare, biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device environment. • Strong business systems analysis experience. • Requirements gathering and documentation expertise. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to quickly adapt and pivot in changing environments. • Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technical teams. • Understanding of business applications and process workflows. • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Outstanding communication skills. • Confident, transparent, and trust-building communication style. • Hands-on approach to problem solving. • Ability to build credibility with stakeholders. • Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands (If Applicable): Candidate must be onsite five days per week. Oncology team requires full onsite presence. Monday starts are strongly preferred. Role may require access to lab environments. When entering laboratory areas: (PPE when in Lab (Not working with Specimens)) Lab coat (provided) Goggles (provided) Closed-toe shoes Pants/jeans. Dress Code: Closed Toes Shoes Pants/Jeans. Lab Exposure: No specimen handling required. Candidate may enter laboratory spaces for business support activities.
