ROLE DESCRIPTION The Treasury Operations Specialist is responsible for managing daily cash operations, banking activities, payment processing, cash forecasting, foreign exchange (FX) calculations, and bank account reconciliations. This role ensures the accurate and timely execution of all disbursements, maintains strong banking relationships, and provides visibility into cash positions to support liquidity management and business decision-making.
Responsibilities Cash Management & Liquidity
Monitor daily cash balances across all bank accounts.
Manage cash positioning and optimize liquidity utilization.
Review and analyze cash inflows and outflows to ensure adequate funding.
Support working capital management initiatives.
Identify and escalate potential liquidity risks.
Cash Forecasting
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cash flow forecasts.
Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Tax, and Finance teams to gather forecast assumptions.
Analyze forecast variances and recommend corrective actions.
Provide management with insights on future cash requirements and funding needs.
Bank Account Management
Maintain and administer corporate bank accounts.
Coordinate bank account openings, modifications, closures, and signatory changes.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, banking policies, and regulatory requirements.
Manage relationships with banking partners and resolve banking-related issues.
Bank Reconciliations
Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations for all corporate accounts.
Investigate and resolve unreconciled items, outstanding transactions, and exceptions.
Ensure proper accounting treatment of bank transactions.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
Payment Processing & Disbursements
Execute all payment activities, including:
o Supplier and vendor payments o Employee reimbursements o Payroll funding o Tax payments o Intercompany settlements o Ad hoc and urgent payments
Verify payment documentation and approvals.
Ensure payments are processed accurately and on schedule.
Monitor payment status and resolve rejected or failed transactions.
Foreign Exchange (FX) Management
Calculate and monitor foreign currency exposures.
Prepare FX gain/loss calculations and support accounting entries.
Coordinate foreign currency purchases and conversions.
Maintain exchange rate data in treasury and ERP systems.
Support hedge execution and documentation, where applicable.
Treasury Controls & Compliance
Adhere to treasury policies, SOX controls, and internal control requirements.
Maintain segregation of duties and payment authorization controls.
Support internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with banking regulations and corporate policies.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare treasury reports and KPI dashboards.
Analyze cash trends, liquidity metrics, payment volumes, and bank fees.
Provide recommendations to improve treasury efficiency and reduce risk.
Support treasury projects, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in Treasury, or Corporate Finance, experience with Treasury Controls & Compliance, Foreign Exchange (FX) Management, Payment Processing & Disbursements, Bank Reconciliations, Bank Account Management, Cash forecasting, Cash Management & Liquidity and Reporting & Analysis.
Experience working in a multinational environment or Shared Services Center preferred.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle HFM, or similar.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Knowledge of electronic banking platforms and payment formats.
Experience with SAP Treasury, SAP FI, or similar treasury systems is a plus.
