Note: 50% Travel across US 20% Overtime A seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead multiple capital projects across TMMWV, TMMI, and TMMK. The ideal candidate brings strong ownership, sound judgment, and a hands-on approach to safely deliver high-quality work while embodying Toyota values of Respect for People and continuous improvement Requirements:
Eight or more years of construction project-management experience delivering ground-up and complex capital projects valued from $2M to $30M+.
Demonstrated experience leading design development from concept through construction documents, feasibility studies, due diligence, bidding, and procurement.
Technical knowledge of design and construction engineering, schedule management, shop drawings, submittals, and construction quality control.
Advanced ability with Microsoft Project, Procore, Excel, Bluebeam markups, budgeting, scheduling, reporting, and executive presentations.
Proven ability to lead project engineers, contractors, consultants, and safety personnel while managing multiple concurrent projects.
Experience delivering light-industrial, warehouse, office, automotive, or comparable manufacturing-facility projects.
Proven stakeholder-management, communication, problem-solving, change-management, and multi-project prioritization skills.
Strong commitment to safe work practices, quality design and construction, Respect for People, and continuous improvement.
Preferred:
PMP certification.
OSHA certification and extensive experience preparing safety documentation and enforcing safety standards.
Manufacturing or automotive-facility construction experience.
What you'll be doing - Conduct feasibility studies and design development with AE firms - Lead ground-up and renovation capital projects from concept through closeout, typically $2M-$30M+. - Drive feasibility studies, due diligence, design development, construction documents, page-turns, and design-quality reviews. - Develop and maintain Microsoft Project schedules, Procore budgets and forecasts, and executive-level status presentations. - Lead competitive bidding, procurement, and scope awards for architectural, engineering, and general-contractor services. - Define owner project criteria and detailed scopes of work for AE and construction services. - Monitor contractor performance against cost, schedule, safety, and quality commitments; attend jobsite meetings and coordinate consultant site visits. - Review shop drawings and submittals; coordinate responses to contractor inquiries and validate contractor payment applications against actual progress. - Coordinate multiple priorities; lead construction coordinators and walk jobsites to resolve constraints. - Engage IT, AV, Security, operations, and plant partners for design input and decision alignment. - Manage changes, mitigate scope creep, and advance value-adding changes with transparent cost, schedule, quality, and safety impacts. - Oversee contractor quality-control programs and enforce safety documentation and expectations; resolve field issues promptly and maintain construction quality.
