Lead metadata onboarding and domain activation efforts across business domains, helping teams establish the foundational metadata, ownership, stewardship, and governance practices required for trusted data use.
Facilitate workshops with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Product Owners, subject matter experts, and technology partners to define business glossaries, business process context, data asset scope, metadata requirements, and adoption plans.
Define and refine metadata standards, cataloging policies, stewardship operating procedures, adoption playbooks, and implementation guidance that support consistent enterprise adoption.
Partner with business leadership and domain teams to prioritize metadata, data product, cataloguing, and marketplace initiatives aligned to strategic business outcomes and data risk reduction.
Serve as the primary point of engagement between domain teams and the Data Management & Governance organization for metadata strategy, onboarding readiness, governance expectations, and catalog adoption.
Identify governance gaps, catalog adoption challenges, metadata quality issues, and opportunities to improve business value realization through better metadata, stewardship, and communications.
Drive enterprise adoption of metadata and catalog capabilities through communications, training, change management, and compelling storytelling that builds advocacy for data governance.
Provide leadership and oversight across large-scale metadata initiatives and cross-domain governance programs, including roadmap development, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and delivery reporting.
Analyze complex and ambiguous problems, exercising judgment to independently determine the best path to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Deep experience with business engagement, workshop facilitation, change management, governance adoption, and domain-driven data governance operating models.
Ability to develop strategic roadmaps, adoption strategies, governance playbooks, and stakeholder communications that translate metadata work into measurable business outcomes.
Strong understanding of data mesh principles, domain activation, data product onboarding, stewardship models, and enterprise metadata standards.
Ability to apply emerging technologies and innovation to Data Management and Governance in the day-to-day, with a continuous learning mindset.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in areas such as MIS, Data Management, Information Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with agile delivery approaches, particularly scrum and SAFe.
Experience with data governance, metadata, catalog, marketplace, and stewardship platforms such as Informatica, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Atlan, Alation, denoto or similar tools.
