Position Title: Analyst, Commercial Analytics
Work Location: Marlborough, MA 01752 (Remote)
Assignment Duration: 12 months
Work Schedule: 20 hours/week with flexibility; may increase to 25 hours/week. Candidate must be available for team meetings.
Work Arrangement: Remote (U.S.-based preferred)
Position Summary:
This position will support the Diag Sales and Marketing organizations to maximize growth through
1) support of sales forecasting/reporting and analytics
2) delivering data driven insights on pricing and deal metrics
3) support of our compensation planning and reporting process
4) cleansing of sales, CRM and contract datasets.
Background & Context:
Supports Sales and Marketing for The Organization following a recent acquisition, with focus on using data to identify growth opportunities and drive revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pricing and contract analysis (highest priority)
• Sales and commercial analytics
• Sales forecasting support
• Reporting and dashboard creation
• Data cleansing and data quality management
• Compensation reporting support (lower priority)
Qualification & Experience:
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate business insights from data.
• Advanced Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data manipulation, reporting).
• Experience cleansing, scrubbing, and managing large datasets.
• Commercial, sales, pricing, or financial analytics experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present data-driven recommendations to business stakeholders.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (required)
• Power BI (required)
• CRM/Salesforce experience (preferred)
• Experience with AI tools such as Claude is a plus
• SQL, Oracle, SAP, and Power Query are nice to have but not required
• Detail-oriented and highly comfortable working with numbers.
• Experience supporting forecasting processes (building forecasts from scratch is not required).
• Able to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Comfortable telling a story with data and influencing business decisions.
• Relationship-focused analyst who can partner effectively with stakeholders; this is not a highly technical/coding-focused role.
Additional Information: Time Zone: Preference for EST, but candidates located anywhere within the continental U.S. will be considered. Interview Process: 2 rounds via Microsoft Teams (initial screening + panel interview).
