Job Title:Systems Engineer III Location: One candidate would need to be local to Salisbury and open to hybrid work schedule--second candidate Carlisle and or Scarbrough office. Okay with candidate being fully remote but preference to onsite availability. Need to be open to coming to the office a few times per week. Duration: 4 months
Job Description:
Experience in retail; grocery preferred. Self-motived; proven ability to independently lead and/or contribute to production support and project workstreams.
Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Includes the implementation and design of hardware and software
Monitors the performance of systems
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and experience in the field or in a related area
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager
Strong analytical skills required
Experience in Retail POS technology and Payments processing required; grocery preferred
Experience with NCR Storeline POS, NCR Connected Payments, Ingenico PIN pad and estate management preferred.
5 Must Haves: 1. Retail POS technology experience--terminals and pin pad with emphasize on grocery—REQUIRED 2. Individual contributor--self-starter--need to work without micro 3. Production Support escalation--ability to troubleshoot 4. Attend daily meetings, discuss open issues/challenges, manage and execute priorities of the day, triage and manage request 5. Working with external vendors--great communication skills, POC for specific projects 6. Understanding Program Management model
Certifications/Degree: IT/Computer Science not required--Familiar; PCI POS experiences
Years of Experience: At least 5 years
Interview Process: HM would do prescreen, and 2nd interview with the team
