Position Title: Biologist
Work Location: Worcester, MA 01604
Assignment Duration: 6 months (possible extension- performance based)
Position Summary: The positions support the Downstream Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) team at the Bioresearch Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Background & Context: The Downstream MSAT team supports the manufacturing of drug products, including monoclonal antibodies. The team supports the downstream manufacturing process by extracting and purifying the drug product from the cell culture process.
Key Responsibilities:
Support manufacturing investigations by collecting data, supporting investigations when manufacturing issues occur, and performing laboratory experiments to help determine root causes.
Collecting manufacturing data, supporting investigations, performing laboratory experiments, supporting manufacturing activities, and working across multiple projects.
Support the Upstream Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) team with laboratory activities as needed.
Work across multiple projects and support both laboratory activities and manufacturing investigations.
Qualification & Experience:
Candidates should have the ability to work well both independently and in teams.
Candidates should possess strong written and oral communication skills.
Candidates should demonstrate problem-solving skills and the capability to overcome complex issues.
Candidates should have a results-oriented work ethic, a positive "can-do" attitude, a strong sense of urgency, and be self-motivated.
Candidates should be able to utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word to perform required tasks.
Experience with cell culture handling and aseptic techniques is desired but not required.
Candidates should be able to work across multiple projects and collaborate effectively with team members.
