Phlebotomist I (Float)

Duration: 3 Months 
Location: North Charleston, SC (3825 Faber Place Drive)
Float Locations: Mt. Pleasant, SC • West Ashley, SC • Goose Creek, SC • Summerville, SC • Walterboro, SC
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift |  Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts; start time may vary depending on assigned location)

Job Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist I to join their team in a float position supporting multiple Patient Service Centers (PSC) and In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) locations. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience, be comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment, and have strong pediatric and geriatric blood draw skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages.
• Collect, label, process, and prepare specimens accurately.
• Travel between multiple assigned PSC and IOP locations as needed.
• Work independently at IOP sites and collaboratively at PSC locations.
• Verify patient information and maintain accurate documentation.
• Follow safety, infection control, and specimen handling procedures.
• Deliver excellent patient care while maintaining professionalism.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of recent phlebotomy experience.
• Experience performing pediatric and geriatric blood draws.
• Reliable transportation for travel between assigned locations.
• Strong patient interaction and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different work locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in both Patient Service Centers and physician office settings.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Required Compliance

• Color Vision Test (Required)
• Negative THC Drug Screen (Required)
• Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended but may be declined.
• Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations are not required.
