Job Title: Technical Program Manager I – RBKS (Ring, Blink, Key, Sidewalk) Field Quality & Safety
Duration: 6 Months (Potential Extension/Conversion up to 12 Months)
Work Arrangement:
Hawthorne, CA (Remote possible depending on candidate experience; some office presence expected.)
 
Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager I to join the RBKS (Ring, Blink, Key, Sidewalk) Field Quality & Safety team. In this role, you will partner with product managers, hardware engineers, quality engineers, and safety specialists to drive field quality programs, product safety investigations, and corrective actions across Amazon's smart home device portfolio. You'll play a key role in improving customer experience, product reliability, and safety while managing cross-functional technical programs in a fast-paced environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional field quality and product safety initiatives.
  • Drive root cause investigations and corrective action programs.
  • Improve issue resolution velocity across Operations and Engineering teams.
  • Develop and maintain risk visibility frameworks and SLA-driven escalation processes.
  • Identify, assess, track, and mitigate product safety and field quality risks.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Hardware, Supplier Quality, Operations, and Safety teams.
  • Balance customer safety, business priorities, and technical constraints while driving program execution.
 
Required Skills
  • Strong Program Management experience with technical projects.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with hardware products or consumer electronics.
  • Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication.
  • Experience managing risks, SLAs, and escalations.
 
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Coding or automation experience.
  • Quality Engineering background.
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification.
