Title: Senior Manager, Business Continuity Location: Remote Duration: 12 months
Overview: The Senior Manager, Business Continuity applies a broad range of existing knowledge, skills, and experiences in the front-line Operational Resilience domain, which includes supporting various aspects towards strengthening the overall resilience of the Company. This individual contributor will be responsible for supporting client's Business Units in completing their required Business Continuity Planning Lifecycle activities that involves consulting in identifying potential impacts from disruptions through the Business Impact Analysis, implementing sound strategies for effective response and recovery from disruptions through the development of Business Continuity Plans, and facilitating resilience related exercises. The role will report into client's First Line Risk Management Office, specifically to the Business Continuity leader.
Maintenance of Business Continuity Plans, and supporting related resilience exercises
Conducting Business Impact Analysis to identify the potential impacts of a business function disruption and determining Recovery Time Objectives and recovery requirements for dependencies
Developing and maintaining Business Continuity Plans with business units to respond and recover from various types of disruptions
Coordinating and facilitating the performance of various types of resilience tests (e.g., recovery strategy testing, tabletop exercises)
Guiding Business Units through completing Business Continuity Planning Lifecycle activities in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
Providing solutions to address resiliency gaps identified through the performance of Business Continuity Planning Lifecycle activities
Participating in the enhancement of tools and processes promoting the efficiency in performing Business Continuity Planning Lifecycle activities
Conducting and promoting Business Continuity Planning awareness and training activities with business units as needed
Contributing to the development and ongoing maturity of plans, policies, standards, and procedures applicable to Business Continuity and overall Operational Resilience
Supporting initiatives and projects that align to Business Continuity, Incident Management, and overall First Line Risk Management Office objectives
What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications:
3-5+ years of Financial Services, Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, and/or Crisis or Incident Management experience
Experience with enhancing and utilizing Business Continuity Planning and Governance Risk and Compliance software
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in any field
Understanding of the financial services industry, banking, and associated regulations
Certified Business Continuity Professions (CBCP), Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP), and/or FEMA Professional Development Series (PDS) preferred
Experience with facilitating the performance of Business Continuity Planning Lifecycle activities and building robust working relationships with business partners
Project management experience and ownership of Business Continuity and/or Operational Resilience related strategic initiatives is a plus
Refined verbal and written communication skills; must be extremely comfortable with and highly effective at communicating to senior management
