Job Title: Design Engineer (Fresher)
Job Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of automotive components using sound mechanical engineering principles while adhering to business standards, design practices, procedures, and product requirements.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the assigned technical discipline.
- Apply prior academic knowledge and acquired technical expertise to execute engineering tasks.
- Use CAD tools for conceptual design and R&D projects.
- Perform mechanical design engineering activities including:
- Material selection
- Failure mode evaluation
- Hand calculations
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA), with appropriate guidance.
- Understand key business drivers and apply this knowledge to accomplish assigned work.
- Collaborate effectively with the team and understand how individual work contributes to overall project objectives.
- Work as an individual contributor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Drive innovation, process improvements, and analytical thinking.
- Understand project scope and the relationship of assigned tasks to overall project goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Freshers eligible).
- Sound knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
- Good knowledge of CAD tools for conceptual design and R&D projects.
- Basic understanding of:
- Material selection
- Failure modes
- Hand calculations
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Ability to work with project teams and deliver projects on time.
- Maintain and update design documentation for future reference.
- Ability to read and understand:
- 2D Drawings
- 3D Models
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, tools, and methods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement.
