Sr. Developer Location: Hybrid schedule at client location (605 W Campbell Rd, Richardson, TX 75080) **Prefer local candidates
Requirements / Responsibilities: · At least 5 + years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud platforms such as GCP. · Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java 17/21, Spring Boot 4.x, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Hibernate. · Build and enhance microservices-based applications, applying domain-driven design, distributed system principles, and cloud-native architecture patterns. · Design, develop, and support RESTful APIs and backend services with a focus on performance, security, reliability, and scalability. · Implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka, including producer/consumer development, message processing, and asynchronous integration patterns. · Develop and optimize data persistence layers using Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or other relational database technologies, including SQL query optimization and performance tuning. · Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. · Integrate applications with internal and external systems through APIs, messaging platforms, and middleware technologies. · Develop containerized applications using Docker and deploy services on Kubernetes platforms such as GKE, RKE, and RKE2. · Utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Secret Manager to build and support cloud-native applications. · Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps to enable automated build, testing, and deployment processes. · Write unit, integration, and automated tests while following software quality practices including TDD, code reviews, static code analysis, and continuous integration. · Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application and production issues using logging and observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana. · Apply security, performance, resiliency, and operational best practices across all stages of the software development lifecycle. · Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. · Experience developing and supporting high-volume, mission-critical applications in large-scale distributed environments is preferred.
Good to have skills: · Exposure to full-stack application development and collaboration with frontend teams to design and consume REST APIs efficiently. · Experience implementing and supporting DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and SonarQube. · Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and deployment automation tools such as Terraform, Helm Charts, and Kubernetes Operators.
