Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist II (3- 7 years of experience)

Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Position Type: On Site Hybrid (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in office, 8am to 5pm )
Job description
We are seeking an experienced?Quality Assurance Specialist to join our agile team. This role will contribute to software quality through exploratory and automated testing, defect analysis, release validation, and collaboration with developers and business stakeholders. 
The successful candidate will be a hands-on QA professional who can independently drive testing activities while partnering closely with developers, business analysts, and product stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.
 
Key Responsibilities 

• Review user stories to identify test scenarios and coverage requirements. 

• Validate business-critical workflows across user interface, API, application, and database layers. 

• Support release validation, deployment verification, and post-production smoke testing. 

• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, supporting evidence, and impact assessments. 

• Collaborate closely with team members to resolve issues and improve product quality. 

• Contribute to maintaining and enhancing automated testing assets and regression suites. 

 
Required Qualifications 

• Practical experience with test automation frameworks and automated test maintenance. 

• Strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing. 

• Experience validating REST APIs. 

• Ability to use?SQL?or similar query tools for backend validation. 

• Experience working with defect tracking and test management platforms such as Jira, TestRail, GitHub, or similar tools. 

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
