Job Title: Phlebotomist I

Location: Charlotte, NC 28277
Duration: 3 MONTHS
Shift- 800am-500pm

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused Phlebotomist I to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have hands-on phlebotomy experience, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work independently in a physician office setting. This role primarily supports an OB/GYN practice and offers the opportunity for contract-to-hire based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection following standard procedures.
• Collect approximately 15–25 blood draws per day.
• Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for transport.
• Ensure patient identification and specimen integrity at all times.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations.
• Perform routine specimen processing as needed.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work independently while delivering excellent customer service to patients and providers.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Hands-on phlebotomy experience.
• Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Must successfully complete all required compliance checks.
• Must meet all required vaccination/compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an OB/GYN practice.
• Specimen processing experience.
• Experience using Epic EMR.

Work Environment

• Onsite physician office laboratory.
• Solo work environment.
• Standing duration varies throughout the shift.
• 2–3 weeks of onsite training provided.
