Role: Project/Program Manager II (Technical Infrastructure Program Manager - TIPM) Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite) Duration: 10 Months (Potential Extension/Conversion)
Job Summary Client is seeking a Project/Program Manager II (Technical Infrastructure Program Manager - TIPM) to coordinate the end-to-end delivery of network connectivity between client’s data centers. This role is responsible for managing multiple cross-functional teams, suppliers, and field operations to ensure network infrastructure projects are delivered on time. The TIPM does not perform network engineering or configuration work but acts as the central coordinator throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate has experience managing infrastructure, networking, supply chain, or data center deployment projects and is comfortable handling multiple concurrent projects while driving cross-functional execution.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
Manage the complete lifecycle of AWS data center network deployment projects.
Validate project intake and ensure all required planning information is available.
Coordinate project execution from planning through operational deployment.
Track project milestones, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with:
Network Engineering
Hardware Teams
Optical Teams
Fiber Teams
Data Center Field Operations
Planning Teams
Coordinate activities across multiple internal teams and external suppliers.
Escalate blockers and drive timely issue resolution.
Supplier & Field Operations Management
Track supplier readiness for hardware, fiber, and optical infrastructure.
Coordinate field team activities including:
Hardware installation
Cabling
Rack preparation
Physical network deployment
Monitor project execution and ensure work progresses according to schedule.
Project Monitoring & Reporting
Manage 20–40 concurrent infrastructure projects.
Monitor project health, milestones, and risks.
Provide regular status updates to leadership.
Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
Maintain project documentation and reporting metrics.
Incident & Issue Management
Identify project delays and coordination gaps.
Route technical issues to engineering teams.
Resolve operational issues impacting delivery.
Ensure projects progress through validation and production turn-up.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Data Center operations
Understanding of network deployment lifecycle
Knowledge of fiber and optical infrastructure
Vendor/Supplier management experience
Change Management experience
Formal Project Management training or certification
Required Experience
1–2+ years of Project Coordination or Program Management experience
Experience supporting infrastructure, networking, supply chain, or operations projects
