IT Business Systems Analyst II (Medicare/Medicaid) Nashville, TN (Onsite) 6 months+ (Contract to hire)
Role:
Gather and document user/business requirements
Guide technical and business partners throughout system development
Validate solutions and support testing & deployment
Contribute to training materials and mentor junior staff
Skill Requirements Key Skillsets Needed:
IT Business Analysis experience within healthcare; Medicare/Medicaid strongly preferred
Strong critical analysis and problem solving ability
Requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation
Ability to translate between business users and technical teams
Coding literacy (SQL, XML, JSON, or similar)
Experience reviewing test plans, test cases, and project documentation
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non technical audiences
Team oriented, collaborative mindset
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other job related field. or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other job related degree OR 8 total years required work experience.
Required Experience
4+ years of IT Business Analysis experience
Understanding of IT impacts on business processes
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Visio and Excel)
Agile & Waterfall methodology experience
Demonstrated IT Business Analysis experience within the Healthcare domain, with a preference for Medicare and/or Medicaid systems.
Experience supporting or integrating Automated Processing Systems (API).
Familiarity with AWS and/or Cloud-based platforms and services.
Experience with Electronic Data Systems, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) solutions.
Exposure to AI tools or solutions, particularly in process automation, analytics, or decision support.
Candidate should have one of the following certifications active from an accredited organization: CSPO, A-CSPO, PMI-ACP, CSP-PO.
Preferred Experience:
Healthcare IT BA experience
SAFe, CBAP, or similar certifications
