Job Title: Research Project/Program Manager II
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)
Location: Remote (West Coast Preferred)
Job Summary:
Client is seeking an experienced Research Program Manager II to lead and deliver complex research initiatives from planning through execution. This role is responsible for driving cross-functional research programs, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing project timelines and budgets, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality research outcomes.
The ideal candidate has strong program management experience, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and exposure to UX or research environments. This is a highly collaborative role requiring leadership, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of complex research programs.
- Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation strategies.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including researchers, scientists, and technical stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, dependencies, and risks.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership.
- Ensure research activities comply with organizational standards and established processes.
- Drive collaboration across multiple teams to meet project objectives.
- Identify process improvements to enhance research operations and program efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives within the research organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of Program or Project Management experience.
- Experience managing complex research or cross-functional programs.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing project timelines, budgets, and risks.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting UX Research or User Research teams.
- Knowledge of research methodologies and research operations.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience using Asana, Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar project management tools.
- Experience working in fast-paced technology organizations.
